ANSWERS TO SOME IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF MUSLIMS & OTHERS !!!!!

Q 1)     Some people say that eating “niyaz” is forbidden (najaiz)?

Ans.   We give ‘niyaz’ only in the name of Allah. Our belief is that may Allah include us in the ‘sawab’ (reward) of that niyaz. With this belief in heart we are not including anyone with Allah, we are only including ourselves in ‘sawab’. Including with ourselves is not ‘shirk’. ‘Shirk’ is including someone with Allah.

Q 2)     Some people say that to seek help from non-Allah and to make them interceder (waseela) is forbidden (najaiz)?

Ans.   To seek help from prophets and saints is permissible (jaiz), if the belief is that real help is from Allah only. An e.g. of this is in the book “Jaa-ul-Haque” by Mufti Ahmed Yar Khan on page 218: Prophet Moosa (P.B.U.H.), two thousand and five hundred years after his death helped Ummat-e-Mustafa by helping in decreasing the number of ‘namaz’ (prayer) from 50 to 05 in Shab-e-Mairaj. Allah knew that ‘namaz’ would be 5 times but for our help first ordained 50 and then with the intervention of two beloveds decreased the number to five. The people who disagree with intercession (waseela) should then be praying 50 times a day because in 5, help of non-Allah has been included.

Help from non-Allah with reference from Quran:-

a)        Para28, Surah Saf, Ayat 14
b)       Para 6, Surah Maida, Ayat 2
c)        Para 26, Surah Muhammad, Ayat 7,
d)       Para 2, Surah Baqarah, Ayat 153
e)        Para 10, Surah Anfaal, Ayat 64
f)        Para 28, Surah Tehreem, Ayat 4

Q 3)     Some people say that ‘bidat’ is ‘najaiz’?

Ans.   ‘Bidat’ means invention. In Islam, ‘bidat’ means invention after the demise of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) There are two kinds of ‘bidat’ in Islam. (i) Bidat-e-Hasana, (ii) Bidat-e-Siyah.

‘Bidat-e-Hasana’ is the one which does not harm Islam in any way. ‘Bidat-e-Siyah’ is that which harms Islam and omits Sunnat. For e.g. if the use of loud speaker is for Islam it is ‘bidat-e-hasana’ and if the use is against Islam it is ‘bidat-e-siyah’.

‘Bidat-e-Hasana’:-  Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Birthday), Barsi, Soyem, Chehlum, Giyarwi Shareef and other days fixed and celebrated in this way is ‘bidat-e-hasana’ and it does not harm Islam.

Infact it is a source of ‘sawab’ due to feeding people and recitation and no ‘sunnat’ of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) is omitted. To feed someone by self will is neither remuneration nor a deal. Deal is that which is agreed upon between parties beforehand.

People who disagree with ‘Bidat-e-Hasana’ should reply these questions:

E.g. 1) nowadays reading 20 rakat ‘taraweeh’ with ‘jamaat’ is also ‘bidat’ because 20 rakat ‘taraweeh’ with ‘jamat’ was fixed in the time of second khalifa, although at the time of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) 20 rakat was not fixed, at that time people sometimes read 08 rakat in ‘jamat’ and sometimes 20 rakat too. Today we happily read 20 rakat ‘taraweeh’ which is ‘bidat-e-hasana’ for us. For those whose religion only has ‘bidat-e-siyah’, their Imams make them read 20 rakat ‘taraweeh’ every year from 1 – 29/30 Ramadan, although their belief does not permit any kind of ‘bidat’ or fixing in religion.

E.g. 2) At the time of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) all five azans were the same but second khalifa increased a verse i.e. fixed it in Fajar azan and thus included it in ‘Bidat-e-Hasana’. Now the question arises, people who don’t believe in ‘Bidat-e-Hasana’ should keep all five azans the same, why have they changed Fajar azan? , though their belief does not permit ‘Bidat-e-Hasana’. There is only ‘Bidat-e-Siyah’ in their belief.

•                     Proof of ‘Soyem’ and ‘Chehlum’ with reference to Quran: Para 4, Surah Nisa, Ayat 6

•                     Milad-e-Sharif as cited in Quran: Para 30, Surah Zuha, Ayat 11. Para 6, Surah Maida, Ayat 7. Para 11, Surah Tauba, Ayat 128. Para 4, Surah Aaal-e-Imran, Ayat 164. Para 28, Surah Saf, Ayat 6 & 9.

All Quranic references are from ‘Kinzul Eman’. ‘Kinzul Emaan’ is translation of Quran by A’la Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi and tafseer of Quran is by Syed Muhammad Naeemuddin Murad Abadi.

The book ‘Jaa-ul-Haque’ mentions regarding logic on pg. 244 that Milad is a fruitful gathering. To increase love for Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) by reciting ‘darud shareef’ and reading about His life is necessary. Illiterate people get a chance to learn in such gatherings. This gathering is a source of preaching to non-Muslims. Thirdly, because of this gathering Muslims can be explained religious queries (‘masail’).

Regarding ‘Giyarweeh Shareef, the book ‘Jaa-ul-Haq’ by Mufti Ahmed Yar Khan says on pg. 277 that Hazrat Ghous Pak was very regular in holding Prophet Muhammad’s (P.B.U.H.) Milad on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. Once the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) appeared in his dream saying “Abdul Qadir you have remembered me via ‘baarveeh’, we are giving you ‘giyarweeh’”.

Meaning people will remember you by ‘Giyarweeh”. This is why milad is usually celebrated in Rabi-ul-Awwal and in Rabi-us-Sani, giyarweeh of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (Ghous Pak) is held. Since it was a divine blessing, it spread in the whole world. People tried to undermine it by calling it ‘shirk’ and ‘bidat’, but it kept prospering.
